Grape boycott button, c. 1960-75

This button promotes the grape boycott through popular culture references. The town of Delano, California, was famous as the site of the first farmworker strikes of the 1960s. The 1939 novel “The Grapes of Wrath” by John Steinbeck depicted the harsh conditions of agricultural work in California.
